The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. In this role, you will manage project-specific safety and health concerns, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the protection of employees, contract partners, clients, and the public.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Initial Safety Audit & Establish Inspection Schedule: Within 15 days of project mobilization, coordinate with the project superintendent to perform an initial site safety audit. Develop and maintain a site inspection schedule based on project size, hazard exposure, client requirements, and team input.

  • Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: Assist the project superintendent in enforcing the Haskell Code of Safe Practices, ensuring all site personnel complete safety orientation, and maintaining readily accessible safety documentation.

  • Support Safety Administration & Reporting: Assist with administrative safety tasks, including accident investigations, recordkeeping, and compliance with corporate policies. Conduct safety inspections and provide corrective action audits to the superintendent.

  • Implement Training & Hazard Mitigation: Develop and lead project-specific on-site safety training sessions. Identify imminent danger hazards, halt operations if necessary, and coordinate immediate corrective action while ensuring proper training for those involved.

  • Communicate & Report Safety Concerns: Regularly update the Manager of Safety on project safety issues and complete a Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for each assigned project at least every six weeks. Participate in kick-off, designing-for-safety, and pre-construction meetings as needed.

  • Enforce Safety Policies & Investigate Incidents: Uphold established safety rules and disciplinary action guidelines. Conduct accident investigations and assist the project superintendent in promptly reporting incidents.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum of four years' experience in the construction industry
  • Completion of OSHA Course #500
  • Employee should be able to have a thorough understanding of and the ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and corporate regulations
  • The ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required (both written and verbal). Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and Trust
  • The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information.
  • The associate must frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$135,000. This range is specific to Lakewood, CO, United States and the actual salary will be determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
