The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you’ll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.

 

As an Assistant Craft Worker, you will provide support to skilled craft workers in performing their duties, offering technical assistance as required. You will be responsible for handling materials, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with various tasks around the warehouse or shop, typically under supervision.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools. Distribute them to appropriate locations based on project plans and specifications.
  • Shop Maintenance: Keep the shop stocked, clean, and organized according to company standards.
  • Parts Runner: Retrieve and deliver parts and supplies as needed for the shop.
  • Fabrication Assistance: Assist with tasks related to fabrication, including working with stainless steel and other materials.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Receive, process, and organize shipments and deliveries. Ensure items are stored correctly.
  • Inventory Management: Restock shop items that are low or depleted and maintain the organization of the sales floor as per guidelines.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage materials and inventory efficiently.
  • Communication: Effective verbal communication skills for interacting with team members.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide exceptional customer service when required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in handling materials and maintaining shop cleanliness.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds).
