Overview

Haskell is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Industrial Design group in St. Louis, MO or St. Paul, MN

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective, designs, drawings, and specifications in structural engineering for assigned projects. You will maintain professional registration and sign/seal documents prepared under your supervision. Some of the regional clients supported by these offices include Anhesuer-Busch InBev, Nestle Purina, 3M, and Ecolab.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops complete structural system design of various building/construction types of varying complexity
  • Coordinates work with other disciplines. Performs interdisciplinary coordination checks to minimize deficiencies, errors and omissions in drawings and specifications
  • Performs site visits & prepares observation/follow-up phase reports documenting progress and deficiencies
  • Reviews all structural-related testing and inspection reports 
  • Prepares budgets for structural work on prospects/proposals, monitors progress, and completes projects within the stated fee
  • Directs technical efforts of junior engineers, designers, technicians, and/or interns assigned to their projects

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's Degree focused in Structural Engineering (preferred)

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, ETABS, RISA, and SAP2000

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
