Haskell’s Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our Design & Consulting Team serves a diverse set of markets; this position will be part of our Civil Infrastructure group. In this role, you will have the responsibility, as a design professional, for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective designs, drawings, and specifications in your discipline for assigned projects. You will maintain professional registration and sign/seal documents prepared under your supervision.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in project strategy meetings within discipline, developing design concepts and recommending systems, producing pricing and proposal presentation documents, and outlining specifications
  • Researches, documents, and is responsible for discipline design compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, standards, and regulations
  • Identifies the basis of design for hydrology, hydraulics, site utilities, and erosion sediment control design approach
  • Able to create clear, complete, and concise stormwater, water demand, and wastewater calculation reports
  • Directing technical efforts of junior engineers, designers, technicians, and/or interns assigned to the project
  • Assists Construction Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors in the interpretation and clarification of construction documents and response to requests for information

 

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4+ years of civil engineering design experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Ability to engage Autodesk Civil 3D

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
