Overview

Haskell is seeking a Bridge Engineer in Tulsa, OK or Oklahoma City, OK

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective, designs, drawings, and specifications in structural engineering for assigned projects. You will maintain professional registration and sign/seal documents prepared under your supervision. You will be responsible for assisting leaders in training and mentoring the staff, developing the group in corporate standards, and other assigned tasks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in project strategy meetings, develops design concepts, and recommends appropriate structural and foundation systems.
  • Prepares budgets for structural work on prospects/proposals, monitors progress and completes projects within the stated fee.
  • Responsible for the production of well-organized structural documents, calculations, and specifications that are accurate, clear, concise, and complete.
  • Responds to all RFI’s and reviews submittals for compliance in a timely manner.
  • Mentors and directs technical efforts of Structural Interns, Designers and Technicians assigned to your projects.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) from an ABET accredited university in civil/structural engineering preferred or other degree related to the civil engineering profession.
  • Engineering experience of 5 years in structural design and application.

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Working knowledge of Microstation and OpenBridge

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
