- Integrate power, lighting, and emergency systems into a facility, using knowledge of the available options for each system

The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. - Preparing and securing owner acceptance of contract change orders

The base salary for this position is $85,000 - $145,000. The actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. In this role, you will leverage the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies using innovative project management methods, including model data extraction for quantity takeoffs and estimating purposes, constructability reviews, assist with design coordination using automated clash detection methods, and construction sequencing animations for pre-construction planning. Experience within Revit and/or Navisworks is desired.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordination
- Develop and maintain integrated project coordination models using Navisworks software and create clash detection reports based on analysis of multiple design disciplines and trade subcontractor 3D models.
- Collaboration
- Participate in virtual collaboration meetings with the project team, while leveraging the coordination model as a decision-making tool to solve complex coordination issues.
- Estimating
- Extract quantity data from Revit building information models (BIM) for estimating teams, while cross-referencing contract drawings and specifications for model accuracy
- Design Detailing
- Convert 2D drawing information to 3D Revit models for design and construction details, including the creation of custom parametric Revit families.
- Digital Layout
- Provide model-based layout coordinates to field surveying teams onsite for the layout of self-perform concrete, steel, utilities, and other systems.
- Reality Capture
- Process, register, and publish laser scan point cloud data for coordination.
- Business Development & Scheduling
- Create 4D/5D construction sequence animations using Navisworks, Synchro, and Lumion software for proposals and construction teams.
- Innovation
- Support innovation through research and testing of new technologies.
Education/Experience:

Associate's degree in CAD/BIM Technologies

5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC Technologies in the AEC industry

- Proficiency with the following applications: Autodesk Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

- Prepares detailed estimates, cost code input, and cost control systems
- Responsible for preparing bid packages and invitation to bid inquiries, receiving and analyzing bids, qualifying subcontractors, and awarding subcontracts and major purchase orders
- Works with the director of construction and construction core personnel to establish job organization including the superintendent and PCE requirements
- Plans, sequences, and schedules the project with input from the superintendent and subcontractors. Manages the project schedule, conducts job site meetings, and prepares updated schedules
- Responsible for project cost control including updating labor cost reports, summary cost reports, and project status summaries
- Coordinates requirements of governing authorities for permits, inspections, and final approval of the project with A/E
- Maintains submittal control, including scheduling, receiving, reviewing, approving, and expediting submittals from suppliers and subcontractors to comply with the progress schedule
- Manages client relations, including progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders, and responses to client inquiries
- Prepares requisitions for payment and other required project invoicing. Maximizes project cash flow through invoicing and collections
- Prepares and secures owner acceptance of contract change orders. Issues modifications to subcontracts and purchase orders after owner acceptance and updates budget in the summary cost report

The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. - Inspects for quality of both company-performed work and subcontractors' work and for compliance with engineered drawings. Resolves quality assurance deficiencies
- Prepares Labor Cost Report. Processes daily vendors' and subcontractors' invoices and delivery tickets. Conducts weekly subcontractor progress meetings

Job Responsibilities:
- Align and position pipes to prepare them for connection
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
- Cut pipes to required lengths. Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using gasket material, mechanical (Bolted) restraint systems, or various types of adhesive solvents. Cover pipes with earth or other materials
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools
- Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
- Install and repair sanitary sewer and stormwater structures and pipe systems
- Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors
- Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement, using magnetic or radio indicators
- Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices
- Install and use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels
- Operate mechanized equipment such as pickup trucks, rollers, tandem dump trucks, front-end loaders, and backhoes

Job Responsibilites:
- Application of Knowledge of Process Systems
- Ensures execution of the process scope of services that meets customer’s project requirements and complies with all applicable codes, ordinances, standards, and regulations.
- Develops all engineering calculations for process throughput, mass/energy balance, equipment sizing, relief devices, heat transfer, and fluid transfer.

- Develops or verifies utility matrixes, equipment lists, equipment specifications, and controls as well as instrumentation requirements for each assigned process project.
- Works closely with designers for proper arrangement of equipment and piping to support the process and incorporate sound ergonomic principles.
- Responsible to produce well-organized, finished construction drawings of good appearance, accuracy, and clarity, in accordance with company or client CAD standards.
- Responsible for producing discipline construction material specifications and scope of work documents for assigned projects.
- Construction Support
- Participates as requested in construction inspection to monitor compliance with design intent, construction drawings, and specifications. Inspections may occur at the client’s site or at a vendor for specialty equipment. Prepares inspection reports.
- Performs equipment submittal reviews and responds to the contractor and/or vendor Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Perform bid analysis for vendor services or equipment quotes.
- Provides timely solutions to field problems and prepares field orders, addenda, and record drawings.

- Project Management

Job Responsibilities:
- Pre-plans and schedules jobsite activity as required. Produces and updates a weekly 4-week short interval schedule (integrated with the overall project schedule). Oversees field office files
- Plans and develops construction techniques and methods, materials handling, crew sizes and deployment, equipment requirements, and task sequences
- Recruits and coordinates training for all hourly jobsite personnel. Assists in applicable jobsite training of onsite Assistant Project Managers and Assistant Superintendents
- Manages requirements of the NPDES. Posts required documentation in compliance with national, state, and local labor laws. Administers company policies and procedures fairly and consistently
- Prepares Daily Report and communicates project activity to management (Project Manager and Director of Construction).
- Purchases miscellaneous materials and requisitions equipment. Receives and maintains purchased materials and rented equipment
- Reports, verifies, and documents to management extra work requested by the owner, or occasioned by job conditions, which are beyond the original estimate or contract documents
- Responsible for the layout of accurate lines and grades for all work. Reviews project submittals. Checks and verifies dimensions within the design drawings, and as related to shop drawings
- Verifies valid/current insurance of all on-site companies
- Inspects for quality of both company-performed work and subcontractors' work and for compliance with engineered drawings. Resolves quality assurance deficiencies
- Prepares Labor Cost Report. Processes daily vendors' and subcontractors' invoices and delivery tickets. Conducts weekly subcontractor progress meetings
- Initiates all jobsite safety and accident prevention efforts. Investigates and reports all accidents. Holds weekly safety meetings and inspections for submission. Conducts new-hire safety orientation utilizing The Haskell Company code of safe practices
- Acts as on-site security representative for Haskell
- Maintains good community relations and clearly identifies jobsite by well-placed and maintained company signs per Haskell signage standards
- Complies with contract specifications, POs, SCs, and permitting agencies for required inspections. Generates RFIs and applicable project correspondence

- Ability to relocate internationally for the duration of the project
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management
- Minimum three years of construction management experience
- Proficiency in resource management, estimating, safety procedures, and project execution
